EXAMS
There will be a total of 5 Exams to be given; 4 written exams (Prelim, midterm, pre-fi, finals) and 1 lab exam. The type of exam depends upon the Professor, and exam date will be scheduled at least one week before the exam week. The FINAL EXAM WILL BE A COVER-TO-COVER EXAM. A student may be exempted from taking the final exams in any of the following conditions;
a.If the average of the three written exams and the lab exam is 90% (94 transmuted grade)
b.If the student was able to accumulate at least 97% as his final grade (FINAL EXAM NOT YET COUNTED)

If for any case a student wasn’t able to take an exam for a valid reason, students are required to secure a SPECIAL EXAM PERMIT at the Registrar to take the Special Exams. The special exams are entirely different from that of the regular exam.

A student is an automatic FINALIST (will take the final exams) if he misses any of the written or lab exams).

Passing grade for the exam is 60% (60/100) or 75 as transmuted grade

QUIZZES/ASSIGNMENT
Every now and then, the professor will give quizzes to evaluate the understanding and comprehension of the students regarding the topic. The coverage of the quizzes will always be the previous topic or the topic given to the students as reading assignments. In this case, each student must have the OFFICIAL CDLB GREENBOOK as their quiz booklet. The assignments may or may not be collected depending upon the professor. If for an instance assignments were not collected, ORAL GRADED RECITCATION may be given as a substitute for the quizzes.

LABORATORY REPORT
There will be 1-2 lab exercises per month to be given starting July. Laboratory reports will test the student’s ability to follow instructions and protocols and enables them to cooperate with their group mates. For this instance, a certain group may be composed of NOT MORE THAN 4 MEMBERS. Two heads are better than one but if a student decides to work on his own, then it would be permitted. All the results and observations in the exercises will be written in a laboratory notebook (brown journal). Exercises will be done in groups BUT ALL LAB REPORTS WILL BE DONE IN PAIRS.

Lab exercises will be done every other Thursday or Friday (or depending upon the needs) and to be submitted after 5 days one hour before the official time of the class. (Example, if the class schedule is TTH 4-5:30, exercises will be conducted on Thursday and the deadline will be on Tuesday, 3 pm) You may submit your lab reports directly to the professor or to Mrs. Flora Marbella at the College Library
